Co-founder and chief architect

Havoc Pennington is co-founder and chief architect at Tidelift. He started in open source as a leader of the GNOME Project and the first chair of the GNOME Foundation. Havoc went on to manage the UI team at Red Hat and to work on other open source technologies, including Scala at Lightbend and the Python data science stack at Anaconda. He’s spoken at GUADEC, Red Hat Summit, Scala Days, Dreamforce, and numerous other tech events. Havoc earned his BA in anthropology at the University of Chicago.
